On behalf of the European University Sports Association (EUSA), the Swedish University Sports Federation (SAIF) and the Organising Committee, we have the pleasure of inviting university teams of your country to participate in the 9th European Universities Badminton Championship which will be organised in Uppsala, Sweden between May 5 and 11, 2013.

The deadline for applications has been determined as January 1, 2013.

Uppsala is the fourth largest city of Sweden, with around 150.000 inhabitants, located 67km north of the country's capital Stockholm. Since 1164, Uppsala has been the ecclesiastical centre of Sweden, being the seat of the Archbishop of the Church of Sweden. Founded in 1477, Uppsala University is the oldest centre of higher education in Scandinavia and Uppsala is also the home of three other officially accredited universities/institutes of higher education. Some notable people come from this city, including the scientist and astronomer Anders Celsius. Uppsala is also well known for sports; especially popular is Fyrishov, the largest arena in the city and one of Sweden's most visited ones.
