Invitation 2nd EUSA Games Rotterdam 2014

On behalf of the European University Sports Association (EUSA), Foundation 2nd European Universities Games Rotterdam 2014 as the Organising Committee and the Dutch Students Sports Association (SSN), we have the pleasure of inviting European university teams to participate in the 2nd European Universities Games which will be organised in Rotterdam, the Netherlands between July 24 and August 8, 2014. The first deadline for applications has been determined as January 15, 2014.

The European Universities Games is the largest European multisport student event, governed by the European University Sport Association. The first edition of the event was held in Cordoba, Spain in 2012. Rotterdam, the second-largest city in the Netherlands and having one of the largest ports in the world, is also known as the City of Sports, will host the second edition of the Games. The event will feature competitions for men and women in 10 sports: Badminton, Basketball, Football, Futsal, Handball, Rowing, Rugby 7's, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball. Apart of the sports competitions, the Games will be accompanied by educational side-events, cultural program and offer plenty opportunities for socialising, networking and having fun. Celebration of the 2nd European Universities Games also commemorates part of the centennial celebrations of the Erasmus University Rotterdam.


 

Interested athletes or university teams should contact directly their national university sports bodies. These organisations can register the teams as of today, December 1 - the official launch of the registration at http://eug2014.registrations.eusa.eu. Participating athletes need to be students (aged 17 to 28), or graduated the previous academic year, from a university in Europe.
