Maceio, the capital city of the coastal state of Alagoas in Brazil, will host the International University Beach Games 2017 between March 13 and 19. The event is organised by the Brazilian University Sports Confederation (CBDU) and endorsed by FISU America - Pan-American University Sport Association (ODUPA) and the International University Sports Federation (FISU).

This competition is aimed to combine sports and fun and it welcomes university teams competing in Beach Soccer, Beach Volleyball, Beach Rugby, Beach Tennis and Beach Handball.



Teams will represent their Universities and higher-education institutions from countries around the world. The athletes must be aged between 17 and 28 years.
