Godollo, Hungary will host the 7th European Universities Rugby 7’s Championship between July 22 and 25, 2015. On February 4 and 5, 2015, EUSA Technical Delegate for Rugby Mr Jack Jacobs and EUSA Sports Manager Mr Patrik Perosa visited Godollo as part of the regular technical inspection visit.

Together with the local host and representatives of the Rugby federation, local University and Hungarian University Sport Federation (HUSF), all details of the event were discussed.



The organisers are preparing a compact event, held at the campus of the Szent Istvan University. Official arrival points are Budapest airport and Godollo bus/train station.

Technical delegate Mr Jacobs confirms that the conditions for the event meet the expectations and will ensure a great university sport event this summer. As only a few places are still available, the teams are advised to register as soon as possible!



Since the Grand Prix Formula 1 race is being hosted in Budapest the same weekend as the Championship is concluding, organisers will also prepare an optional opportunity to see the Formula 1 race as well.

At the occasion of the visit to Hungary, EUSA Sports Manager Mr Perosa also visited Miskolc, the host city of the European Universities Basketball Championship 2017, where he was met by Mr Zoltan Rakaczki from HUSF and Mr Csaba Deak, chancellor of the University of Miskolc. The 2017 hosts will attend this year’s Championship which will be held in Koper, Slovenia.
