EP Sport Intergroup organised on November 15 at the European Parliament in Brussels a conference entitled Dual Careers: How to combine education and work with sport.

The event was opened by welcome speeches of Mr Marc Tarabella and Mr Santiago Fisas, Members of the European Parliament and Co-Presidents of the Sport Intergroup, followed by introductory remarks by Ms Agata Dziarnowska, Policy Officer of the Sport Unit at the European Commission.



The conference continued with two panel sessions; first one on ensuring quality of dual career services and second one on supporting athletes effectively.



Panels featured representatives of universities, sports organisations, non-governmental organisations, athletes and policy makers.



European University Sports Association (EUSA) welcomes and fully supports such events and initiatives, and will continue to be engaged in improving conditions for student athletes on one side, and promoting sports for all in higher education.
