The partners of the Green Sports Hub Europe project, co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, met online on January 13 and 14.

On Thursday, the GSHE Online Steering Committee met first, discussing general coordination, risks assessment and work plan adjustment, followed by the GSHE Sustainability Group meeting, working on the development of intellectual outputs and methodology.  The online Full Partners Meeting was held on Friday, discussing the strategy for resources development, EU workshop and defining the action plan for the current year.



The 3-year project started in 2021, and aims to support events and organisations, produce solutions and actions for the European Green recovery, connect partners with good ideas & practices, influence EU policy and decision-makers. The overall aim of the GSHE project is to provide a support system for organisations in sharing knowledge and good practices, offer self-assessment tools and recommendations, allowing us to learn from each other in offering greener and more sustainable sport, reducing the negative impact on nature.



GSHE is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, and is coordinated by Surfrider Foundation Europe (FRA). Official project partners include Association of Cities and Regions for the Sustainable Management of Resources - ACR(BEL), Sports Confederation of Portugal (POR), UKActive (GBR), Green Cycling Norway (NOR), Olympic Committee of Slovenia (SLO), European Volleyball Confederation (LUX), Rugby Europe (FRA), European Athletics Association (SUI) and the EUSA Institute (SLO). The project has already attracted several associate members and supporters.
