Golf championship in Slovenia

On Sunday, June 12, 2011, Slovenian University Sports Association (SUSA) organised the Open national university golf championship in Ljubljana.

Apart from the students, also university professors and partners of SUSA could compete in the championship in separate categories. This way, the students have an opportunity to socialise with the faculty staff also outside the formal university sphere.

Welcome by prof. dr. Kugovnik, SUSA President

All participants were welcomed by the President of SUSA prof. dr. Otmar Kugovnik, who also participated in the championship himself. In his speech, he congratulated the students for successfully combining their academic and sports achievements. He also expressed his joy to be able to host the best student golfers in Europe this September, when Slovenia will host this year’s European Universities Golf Championship in Otočec.
