General Assembly of USSS in Serbia
On March 7, 2012, the University Sports Federation of Serbia held its Annual General Assembly. This is the 2nd Assembly of the current mandate period 2010-2014. The most important points on the Agenda were the Report for the year 2011, Activity plan for 2012 and modification of the Statutes of USSS, which are now synchronised with the new Law on sport.
 
The assembly delegates commended the work of the federation in the previous year, with giving special emphasis on the results achieved at the Summer Universiade in Shenzhen, where the Serbian athletes won 4 medals, and the European Universities Volleyball Championship, which was hosted in Kragujevac, and the home teams won the gold and silver medals in men’s competition.

The Activity plan for 2012 was passed, featuring the organisation of the national student championship in basketball, futsal and volleyball; national student cup in chess, sports shooting, table tennis, basketball, futsal and volleyball. On international level, the champions of the Serbian university championships in basketball, futsal and volleyball will participate in the 1st European Universities Games, held in Cordoba, Spain this July. Serbia will host the 1st World University Basketball 3X3 Championship in 2012, which will be organised in Kragujevac.

At the end of the Assembly, the former USSS Secretary General Mr Dragoljub Bojic received a memorial award for his contributions and dedications. The award was given to Mr Bojic by the President of the Assembly Mr Slobodan Romanic and the President of the federation Mr Nebojsa Jovanovic, thanking him for his hard work and development of the University sport in Serbia, hoping that retirement will not stop him in being involved in the Serbian student sport.
