As part of restructuring of university sport in Albania, General Assembly of students sport associations with the participation of six public universities of Albania was held on November 3 in Tirana, continuing the process of founding the Albanian Federation of University Sport (FSHSU).

The Assembly adopted the Statutes as the foundation of FSHSU, elected the President and other leading structures. Mr Besnik Veliu was unanimously elected as the President of the federation for a 5-year period.



Mr Veliu thanked everyone for their trust and support, appointing important tasks to the participants, in order to develop the university sport in Albania and also to preparare for participation in upcoming activities organised by the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the International University Sports Federation (FISU).



After finishing all the crucial procedures, the Statutes were also approved by the Ministry of Education and Sport, as well as the Olympic Committee of Albania.
