On the initiative of the European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation (ENGSO) and their Equality within Sport (EWS) Committee, the 2nd Summit on Gender Equality and Diversity on February 12, 2025, in Luxembourg. The event brought together representatives of key stakeholders from across Europe, inclusing the European University Sports Association (EUSA).

The summit served as a platform to exchange experiences, actions, insights, align efforts, and strengthen the impact of equality and diversity initiatives in sport from the stakeholder organisations, as well as general trends and situation in sport.

Key discussions included presenting stakeholder initiatives, past achievements, ongoing activities, and future goals; identifying challenges and gaps to improve collective impact; establishing a shared calendar to coordinate events and activities; and expressed interest in cooperation and collaboration which remains essential in building a more inclusive and equitable sports environment.

The event was held prior to the final event All in Plus project promoting greater gender equality in sport, a joint initiative of the Council of Europe and European Commission, co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe.
