FVLA 2021 started
The first part of the FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy and Student Ambassadors Programme (FVLA) was held online last weekend, gathering students and speakers from all over the world to discuss leadership and volunteers management within the framework of international sports.
The FVLA was initially planned to take place in Kazan, the capital of youth and the volunteers movement of Russia. Considering the current situation worldwide related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the difficulty surrounding international travel, it was decided to maintain an online format for the event, similar to the previous year.
This year’s educational programme is expected to be as eventful and enriching as the previous Academies’ sessions. The participants of the event will uphold the ambassadors’ tradition of continuity by helping their national federations during the 2021/2022 season following the action plans that they will develop together in September, and individually present to FISU in October 2021.
The initial sessions included an introduction to FISU and its activities, lectures on leadership as well as presentations of best practices of the Student Ambassadors programme. The positive dynamic made the session unforgettable for all the participants, which will be reunited again for the second session that will take place online on 8-10 September 2021.
For those interested in participating to the online September session, FISU invites you to contact the national university sports body in your country for further details as well as the opportunity to register to the event.
