The 5th Friendship Games 2010, were formally open on Saturday, June 5, in the evening in a special event that took place in the beautiful Village Beach in the southern city of Eilat where borders of Jordan, Egypt and Israel meet.

ASA President Mr. Arie Rozensweig and EUSA vice President Mr. Sinica Jasnic, welcomed the participants and officially opened the games.

 

13 men and women student basketball teams are taking part in the games this year. Special attention was given to Palestinian teams and Israeli Arab teams from Nazareth . Also taking part in the games, are teams from Russia, Germany, Cyprus, the USA and Israel.

After the welcome speeches, team members and guests danced and singed in many languages in a happy karaoke night.

 

The Friendship Games, which are run also under the patronage of EUSA, will conclude on June 11.
