French regional committee for university sport of Toulouse-Occitanie organized a sportive and cultural exchange with the University Ca Foscari of Venice between April 2 and 5, 2017.

The exchange took part in Venice, Italy, and was attended also by the President of the French University Sport Federation (FFSU) Mr Jean-Francois Sautereau.



The exchange aimed to reward the students who were involved along the all year with the sportive associations, achieving a triple excellence - academic, sportive and as citizens. The exchange consisted in men's basketball teams of Paul Sabatier University Toulouse and Toulouse Jean Jaurès University and women's volleyball teams of INSA Toulouse and Paul Sabatier University Toulouse. The final trophy was won from the University Ca Foscari, following the victory in women's volleyball.



The exchange also gave the chance to the students to visit the city of Venice and its cultural attractions, discovered as well through an organised orientation race consisting of cultural enigmas.



The Italian students introduced the dragon boat races to their French counterparts. And the final reception, organised by the tourist and culture department of Venice, was a useful moment to share some ideas and confirm the availability of both parts to collaborate again in the future, considering the opportunities for new international exchanges.
