FISU WUC Department meeting in Wroclaw

Following to the election of its new Executive Committee in November 2015, the International University Sports Federation (FISU) recently appointed Mr Marian Dymalski and Mr Fernando Parente, respectively as Chair and Vice-Chair of the International Technical Committee of the FISU World University Championships.

This year, 34 FISU World University Championships are scheduled to take place over 4 continents and in that context, the WUC Department held a transition meeting in Wroclaw on 23-24 February. In attendance were the abovementioned CTI Chair and Vice-chair, the 1st Vice-president Mr Leonz Eder in the capacity as former WUC CTI Chair, the President of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) Mr Adam Roczek, as a guest, and part of the FISU WUC Department.

During the work meeting, many topics were discussed, including smooth continuity in terms of work inside the Department, working methods, the ongoing WUC seasons (2016 and 2018), as well as future projects to be implemented in the frame of the World University Championships as a tool to develop the University Sports Movement.
