FISU University World Cup 3X3 Basketball hosted by the city of Doha (Qatar) concluded on 12th November in Qatar University Sports and Events Complex.
The finals preceded the Closing Ceremony, with emotional awarding moments that brought to a close this great 3x3 Basketball World Cup 2023: a tournament that saw 24 teams representing 17 countries compete for all the three days of matches.

The competition finals wrapped up the event, that saw Vytautas Magnus University team (Lithuania) and the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education team (Mexico) getting the crown of 3X3 Basketball in the men's and women's tournaments respectively.

In the men's competition, the new World Cup Champion team is also the 2023 European Champion, winner of this year's EUSA European Universities 3X3 Basketball Championship in Debrecen, Hungary (therefore qualified through the event itself): they won the gold medal final against the University of Sydney team 21-12.

Another European University, Sumy State University team (Ukraine - also a particiapant in Debrecen and winner of the silver medal), reached the podium after defeating Paulista University (Brazil) with a score of 20-18 in the third place match and winning the bronze medal.

In the women’s competition, the World Champion title went to the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education team (Mexico), which won 14-7 in the final against the American University in Cairo (Egypt).

The women's bronze medal was claimed by the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University team (Ukraine), who qualified at this event as winners of this year's EUSA European Universities 3X3 Basketball Championship in Debrecen, Hungary, after defeating the University of Pitesti team (Romania - also a particiapant in Debrecen and winner of the silver medal) with a final score of 17-10 in the third place match.

This closing day of the tournament was finished with Rashid Saeed Adiba, representing the organizing committee and director of the Doha 2023 FISU University World Cup 3x3 Basketball handing a flag over to the representative of Huaqiao University (China), which will host the tournament next year.
