As a legacy of 2003 Daegu Summer Universiade and Daegu Metropolitan City, the International University Sports Federation (FISU) has announced the recipients of the scholarship programme for the academic year 2013-2014.

Daegu FISU Scholarship Programme encourages young people and supports their academic and sport curricula. After taking into consideration all applications received, the following students have been selected (in alphabetical order):

- Ms Soronzonbold BATTSETSEG (Sport: Freestyle wrestling), Mongolia,
Asian University Sport Federation (AUSF)

- Ms Idalis Ortiz BOCOURT (Sport: Judo), Cuba,
Pan-American University Sport Organsiation (ODUPA)

- Mr Oleg YURENIA (Sport: Sprint canoeing), Belarus,
European University Sports Association (EUSA)
