Budding young reporters interested in taking part in the FISU Young Reporters Programme at the Chengdu 2021 World University Games this August now have the opportunity to be selected via an exciting photo and video contest.

The Young Reporters Programme, which exemplifies FISU's commitment to education along with sports competitions, gives young student-journalists an opportunity of first-hand sports journalism experience at the FISU World University Games, providing guidance and support to the young reporters given the chance to cover a world-class multi-sports event.

Twenty international candidate will be selected for the next edition of the FISU-AIPS Young Reporters Programme, taking place at the Chengdu 2021 World University Games in China this summer.



Sixteen candidates will be selected by FISU and the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) through the application process detailed here, while the remaining four will be chosen through the unique 'It’s Sports' photo and video contest.

Talented young photographers and videographers from around the world are welcome to participate in this contest, with their photo or video submissions. The stories told in the submissions could be original, or even a creative edit of some glorious and impressive moments in sport.



The time-line of the contest is as follows:

1. The contest entry system has been open since 30 December 2020, on the official website of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games here. Applicants can log in to the website to submit their photo/video entries and the entries will be exhibited on the website for voting.
2. The contest voting system will be closed on January 25, 2021, and the Executive Committee of Chengdu 2021, together with FISU and AIPS, will start the process of reviewing the entries.
3. The names of the final four selected candidates will be announced on February 18, 2021.

Please note: applicants should guarantee the originality of their works. For the video contest, the applicants should have the copyrights of all the materials used in the videos. If plagiarism or infringements of copyrights is found in the entries, the applicant shall be disqualified immediately, and the consequences shall be borne by him/herself. The applicant shall guarantee that the personal information uploaded with the entry is true. If there is any false information, the applicant shall be disqualified immediately. The Executive Committee of Chengdu 2021 and FISU reserve the right of interpreting the contest.
