FISU launches international volunteers programme

FISU, the International University Sports Federation, launched International FISU Volunteer Programme, open for the participation at the 2016 World University Championships. The programme, similar to the already existing EUSA volunteer programme, is open to students from all around the world who want to gain experience and further their organisational abilities.

International volunteers will have the opportunity to take part and experience the events from inside, working as part of an Organising Committee.

For the first time, FISU is launching the International FISU Volunteer Programme with the aim to offer worldwide volunteers the possibility to gain experience at an international sport event and develop event management and communication skills. It is also an opportunity to create worldwide contacts with the International University Sport community. On the other hand, this programme aims to allow the 2016 FISU WUC Organising Committees to benefit from outsiders’ vision on their event and have an added value of key volunteers in important organisational areas.

Next year, students in Europe will also have a chance to take part as volunteers in the European Universities Games Zagreb-Rijeka 2016.
