FISU Forum 2010
The tenth edition of the FISU Forum takes place from June 21st to 26th, 2010 in the north-west of Spain in the city of Vigo.
More than two hundred participants from 74 countries are meeting to discuss the new trends in University Sport. Under the theme of ‘University Sport: a Platform for Change’, four subthemes deeply conversed on by students, sport managers and directors include:
1. Development of Strategic Plans in University Sport at a National Level
2. Education and Environmental Awareness through University Sport
3. Women’s Leadership in University Sport
4. University Sport and Academic Recognition
The list of keynote speakers is composed of CESU (Committee for the Study of University Sport) members and Spanish persons proposed by the Organizing Committee. The Forum takes place at the Caixanova Social Center in Vigo.
Present on the forum are also EUSA Representatives, Mr Alberto Gualtieri, President and Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, Secretary General, as well as several Executive Committee Members, who came to Vigo as representatives of their National University Sports Associations.
Also some of the EUSA Student Commission Members, lead by the Chairwoman Eleftheria Kallikazarou, will take an active role in the Forum.
