FISU evaluates 2020 IDUS activities with continental members

International University Sports Federation (FISU) held a debriefing session with its associate members, continental university sports federations on this year’s activities and promotion of the International Day of Sport and the #LetsIDUS campaign on December 1.

In the online consultations, the representatives of the continental university sport bodies from Africa, Asia, Americas, Europe and Oceania gave an overview of the activities carried out this year, and discussed the achievements and challenges. While the restrictions due to Covid-19 limited the live events across the globe, the situation also encouraged new approaches and online campaigns and challenges.

Officially proclaimed by the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organisation (UNESCO), this celebration helps create links between universities and their local communities with sport, physical activity and healthy living playing the leading role.
