FISU Conference 2015 extends deadline for papers submission

Partners involved in the 2015 FISU Conference, to be held between July 11 and 14 within the framework of the Summer Universiade, met at Honam University in Gwangju on April 29. The meeting provided an opportunity to review all the final details of the preparation and, in particular, to review the submission papers received so far. As many new papers are still being received, it was decided to extend the deadline to May 13, 2015.

The number of participants in the 28th FISU Conference is expected to reach 600, to which Universiade participants need to be added. The FISU Conference is indeed open and free of charge to all participants registered for the Universiade, thus allowing many of them to present papers and to take part in the sessions.

Partners' meeting

The Conference is organised by the International University Sport Federation (FISU), in cooperation with the Gwangju Universiade Organize Committee (GUOC) and the Honam University.

The event's main theme is the Impact of University Sport on the Global Community, and will also feature four major subthemes:
- University Sport and its Eco-Environmental Impact
- University Sport, Humanity and Social Development
- University Sport and Innovation through Information Technology
- University Sport and Global Education Development
