FISU at the second Global Coalition for an Active World meeting

Global Coalition for an Active World, initiated by the Association for International Sport for All (TAFISA) and International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICCSPE), represents a framework fir its partners to share experiences and good practices and to establish a platform for discussion and cooperation to promote Sport for All and physical activity around the world.

The meeting of the Global coalition for an active world which the International University Sports Federation (FISU) is a part of, took place on October 17, during the 24th TAFISA World Congress in Budapest, Hungary. FISU was represented by Mrs Alison Odell, Chair of the Education Committee and Mr Kole Gjeloshaj, Director of Educational Services.

Also other university sport representatives from Europe were active during the event. Mr Mozes Szekely, Secretary General of the Hungarian University Sports Federation (HUSF) was one a panellist key note speaker, speaking about the development of sport for all in Hungarian university sport. Mrs Gyongyi Foldesi, a member of the FISU Education Committee since 1991 was honoured by TAFISA for her involvement in that organisation as she used to be its Vice-President.

The Congress was an opportunity for the FISU representatives to meet with the delegates of organisations FISU is cooperating with, like the International Fair-Play Committee and International Sports Federations.
