Exploring recognition of learning in and through sport

A new European desk research for good practices on the recognition of informal/non formal learning in and through sport has been launched by the European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE).

In 2014-2015 the European University Sports Association (EUSA) was partner in the project Sport Employs Yourope, where EOSE was an associated partner. The project dealt with the same topic as the recently launched survey by EOSE. The Sport Employ Yourope (Exploring European galaxies of partnership to enhance youth employment and entrepreneurship in sport) project was supported by the Youth in Action Erasmus+ Programme to enhance youth employment and entrepreneurship in sport sector and draw attention to the transferable skills that sport can strengthen.

From the Sport Employs YOUrope seminar

Based on the common interests of the two organizations EUSA is happy to support the new project of EOSE and work together to explore concrete actions and opportunities towards the recognition of non-formal and informal learning in the sport and active leisure sector.

EOSE and EUSA are therefore inviting you to take part in the online survey and contribute by sharing good practices. The aim is truly to consult and gather the views, needs and suggestions of a wide variety of European citizens and civil organisations to provide a tailor-made feasible and relevant roadmap for future initiatives. As well as, to form the basis for the setting—up (mid- and long-term) of formal structures, which recognise the visible evidence of invisible learning in the sector.

Are skills transferrable?

Are you interested in lifelong learning? Do you think the “invisible” learning should be made visible? We want to hear from you, we want to get inspired and we would be delighted to promote your approach or initiative!
