Volunteering is very important for the European University Sports Association (EUSA). Not only are we coordinating short-term volunteer programme during our sports events, we are also hosting volunteers for a longer-term, in form or internships and European Voluntary Service (EVS). EUSA representative Mr Andrej Pisl took part at the training for EVS coordinators, organised on September 12, 2016 in Dobrna, Slovenia.

EUSA Communications and Projects Manager Mr Pisl attended the training, organised by Movit, the National Agency in Slovenia responsible for Erasmus+ youth programmes.

Training for EVS coordinators in Dobrna
The training for the coordinators was organised in conjunction with the midterm training for EVS volunteers who are currently doing their EVS service in Slovenia. In the setting of the majestic spa resort, the participants were able to discuss several topics related to the European Voluntary Service, running the projects, importance of appropriate communication, and other key topics which contribute to a successful EVS experience for all partners.

Outdoor workshops

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) helps young people aged 18-30 travel abroad to participate in volunteering projects. EVS volunteers commit themselves to the work of an organisation abroad and volunteering projects can involve many different kinds of activities.

Working in groups

EUSA is an accredited organisation for EVS mobility initiatives under the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. EUSA is a hosting organisation and next call for new EVS projects in EUSA will be carried out in the beginning of 2017 for projects starting in September 2017. EUSA is also a sending organisation, so young people from Slovenia are welcome to contact us about possibilities of doing EVS service abroad.
