European Universities Bridge Championship
Budapest, Hungary
July 24-28, 2019
The European Universities Bridge Championships took place in Budapest, Hungary as a part of the EUSA Mind Sports Championships, and involved 74 participants from 14 universities and 10 countries across Europe.
The competition was organised by the Hungarian University Sports Federation and the University of Physical Education, the host university of the event.
Present on behalf of EUSA in the Hungarian capital was EUSA Auditor and Executive Committee member Mr Liviu Matac and Bridge Technical Delegate Mr Harry Van de Peppel.
After four days of intriguing play, the Team Championship title was earned by Kozminski University from Poland, with Czech Republic’s Charles University taking the runners-up spot. Joining their Polish friends on the podium was Wroclaw University, who ended the competition in third place.
