EUYouSport project kicks off in Frankfurt

The European Youth and Sport Together (EUYOUSPORT) project aims to enhance youth participation in decision-making processes within sports organizations.
The initiative focuses on providing young individuals with valuable opportunities to ensure their voices are heard and represented in the sports sector.
Partners from seven European organizations, representing different countries, gathered to officially launch the project at the first in-person meeting held in Frankfurt, Germany, on February 20-21, 2025. Present at the meeting were representatives from ENGSO Youth, German Sports Youth (DSJ), Organizzazione Per l’Educazione allo Sport (OPES), Cyprus Youth Council (CYC), Finnish Olympic Committee, Portuguese Sports Confederation (PSC), and the EUSA Institute, established by the European University Sports Association (EUSA). Hosted by the German partner, the meeting took place at the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) headquarters.
The main goal of the two-day meeting was to review key aspects of the project, finalize implementation strategies, and outline upcoming activities to drive the initiative forward. On the first day, partners discussed the project's rationale and objectives, set the project timeline, and decided on the project’s logo, visual identity, and communication strategy, which will be essential tools for promoting the project’s message.
On the second day, the partners worked collaboratively to map out key activities, including workshops to be held by three of the project partners, and establish clear steps for ensuring that the voices of young people are meaningfully integrated into the sports sector.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for all partners to strengthen their relationships and lay a strong foundation for future collaboration, ensuring the EUYOUSPORT project will make a lasting impact in empowering youth in sports decision-making.
On behalf of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) present at this kick-off meeting were Andrej Pisl, Director of Projects & Policy, and Marta Studzinska, Education Officer.
