EUSA working visits in Katowice
The Polish city Katowice will be hosting the 1st edition of the European Universities Sport Climbing Championship in 2015. While the event will welcome the participants from all over Europe between August 4 and 9, 2015, the preparations are already ongoing.
 
EUSA Sports Manager Mr Patrik Perosa visited Katowice and the organisers of the EUC Sport Climbing between August 20 and 22. They also performed an inspection visit of the venues and discussed the plans for the organisation and promotion of the event.

The Championship will be organised in cooperation with the European council of the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC Europe) and will attract students from many parts of Europe.

World University Chess Championship
 
At the occasion of the visit in Katowice, Mr Perosa also visited the World University Chess Championship which was taking place there. He met with the EUSA Technical Delegate for Chess Mr Oleksandr Sulypa, to finalise the Rules and Regulation for Chess and discuss the upcoming – also first edition – of the European Universities Chess Championship, which will be held in Yerevan, Armenia between October 6 and 10, 2015.

They also met with the representative of the World Chess Federation (FIDE) Mr David Jarrett who is in charge of special projects in the governing body.
