EUSA welcomes new intern from Italy
European University Sports Association (EUSA) with its Institute welcomed one new international Erasmus+ Traineeship intern into the office, joining the team in Ljubljana for the period of 2 months.
The EUSA staff is pleased to have been joined by Mr Alessandro Boscherini from Italy. This young individual will learn, assist, and experience the daily EUSA activities in the EUSA Office, especially going through the process of preparing and executing the European Universities Games in Debrecen-Miskolc 2024.
Here is a short introduction about our new volunteer:
Alessandro Boscherini
Hi everyone, my name is Alessandro and I’m a Master’s Degree student in Sport Management at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio.
I’m a 24-year-old guy from a city on the east coast of Italy called Pescara, in the Abruzzo region; a place that allows you to go from the sea to the mountains in just one hour and a half by car. I deeply love sports, especially hiking with my black Labrador.
I started my relationship with sports when I was really young, thanks to my mum who is a Physical Education Professor, and my dad who used to be a sportsman. At 5 years old I started playing basketball and I ended my career at 22 because of my studies. Thanks to basketball I traveled a lot in the Italian peninsula, visited many sports reality, and got in touch with many sports enthusiasts.
Being a professional player, since I was 18 years old, didn’t allow me to move out of Italian borders, one thing that I started to do after I ended my career: I went to Finland for a BIF in Management of Winter Sports Events, then in Estonia to participate in an Erasmus+ project about loneliness and mental health. Now I’m starting this new adventure in Slovenia at EUSA.
I’m really happy for the opportunity EUSA is giving me, to improve my knowledge of the world where I would like to develop my work career, and I’ll do my best to repay the trust they gave me.
EUSA is thrilled to have this talented individual join our team for two months: good luck Alessandro!
