EUSA teambuilding activities in preparation for 2018 season

The staff of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) attended team building activities in Slovenia between January 3 and 5, 2018, in preparation for the new season of EUSA events and activities.

EUSA office core team is composed by Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, Sports Manager Mr Besim Aliti, Communications and Projects Manager Mr Andrej Pisl, Education and Development Manager Ms Sara Rozman, Office Assistant Ms Danijela Smeh, Sports Assistant Mr Davor Travnikar and Projects Assistant Mr Liam Smith. We are currently also hosting volunteers as interns in the office.

EUSA team

The primary aim of the training was to get to enhance social relations, strengthen the cooperation within the organisation and prepare for the upcoming tasks. The teambuilding also emphasised the importance of physical activity, enjoying and preserving nature, reinforcing also #beactive campaign and commitment to sport and recreation.

Hiking

The activities started with a hike to Uskovnica mountain, followed by activities in the snow in the afternoon. The intensive EUSA team-building programme continued with cross country skiing and course in biathlon in Pokljuka, with workshops and strategic planning in the evening. EUSA teambuilding and training activities concluded with skiing activities on Vogel.

Cross country skiing

EUSA is committed to provide a great season, starting with EUSA Games Convention in February, General Assembly, Gala and EUSA-FISU strategic dialogue in April, EUG2018 NUSA coordinators meeting in May, European Universities Games in July, IDUS & EWOS activities and EUSA Championships Convention in September; inbetween taking part in several projects, as well as running other activities. Registration for the European Universities Games is open; first General Entry Deadline is January 15, 2018.
