EUSA takes part in consultation on volunteering in Ljubljana

Slovenian Association for Promotion of Volunteering (Slovenska filantropija) organised a national consultation on volunteering on February 2 at the House of the EU in Ljubljana.

Volunteering organisations and those working with volunteers were invited to contribute with their experiences and suggestions towards adopting a new national 2024-2028 Volunteering Development Strategy.

Welcome words by State Secretary

The event was attended by organizations from various fields, including EUSA, and they discussed good practices, main challenges and solutions proposed in the field of volunteer development.

European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the EUSA Institute are active partners in the field of volunteering. Apart of having own volunteer programmes and opportunities, EUSA is engaged in several projects focusing on volunteering. We are hosting volunteers in our office in Ljubljana for long-term volunteering opportunities (usually 7-12 months) supported by the European Solidarity Corps, as well as short-term volunteering opportunities (usually 5-15 days) connected to European Universities Championships and European Universities Games.

Volunteers at the European Universities Games

We have participated in several projects on volunteering, supported by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, and are co-funded by the European Union, including Work for a cause, serve for sport (W4C), Be(ach) Volunteer, Be(ach) Fair! (VolFair), Empowered Nation (ENACT), as well as European Universities Games 2022.
