EUSA Student Commission Online Meeting
Members of the Student Commission of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) carried out their annual regular meeting on Friday, June 5, 2020. Due to the general precautions and travel restrictions in place, the meeting was held online.
Student Commission Chair and Executive Committee Member Ms Anna Edes, assisted by EUSA Communications and Projects Manager Mr Andrej Pisl, who is also the Secretary of the Commission, welcomed the participants and gave an overview of the recent developments in EUSA and its Institute.
The Commission members then discussed Student Commission’s projects and activities, starting with the EUSA Volunteer programme, with the focus on the upcoming European Universities Games in Belgrade, which have been postponed to 2021.
Ms Sara Rozman, EUSA Education and Development Manager, then presented the EU-funded projects and activities connected with them. Discussions focused on the involvement of the Student Commission in the GETZ project and its online toolkit. The Commission members actively took part in the online course and gave their thoughts and feedback.
Focus then shifted to the topic of networking and partnerships. The topic of media and communications was discussed next, highlighting the success of the monthly What’s up students column and EUSA photo competition and the #MyEUSA campaign. The possible activities for the European Week of Sport and the International Day of University Sport were the last main topics of the meeting.
The outcomes of the meeting will be presented to other commissions at the next EUSA Executive Committee meeting, scheduled for the end of June.
