EUSA Student Commission meets in Ljubljana

Members of the Student Commission of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) met in Ljubljana, the seat of the EUSA Office, on February 15, 2014. Although the Student Commission regularly holds online meetings, this was the first live meeting of the Commission in this composition.

 

Participants were welcomed by Mr Bruno Barracosa, Chair of the Student Commission and on behalf of the EUSA Office Mr Andrej Pisl, Communications and Project manager.

The meeting started with a general introduction of EUSA, with special focus on the past projects and achievements of the Student Commission. Members then discussed the Activity Plan of the Commission for the current year; including the volunteer program, photo competition, networking program and partnerships, media and communication, and also spoke about other projects and topics related to their activities.

 

Special attention was given on projects related to the European Universities Games which will take place this year in Rotterdam, the Netherlands between July 24 and August 8.

The Student Commission members assigned responsibilities and tasks amongst themselves. A report of their activities will be presented at the EUSA General Assembly in April in Denizli, Turkey.

EUSA Student Commission is composed of nine members who have common interest in promoting sports and physical activity among students in Europe. Their mandate is two years, and it is currently represented by the members Jakob Bassanese (SLO), Nick Braet (BEL), Marion Höchli (SUI), Keren Lavi (ISR), Christopher Purdie (GBR), Eileen Schindler (GER), Nikola Vincetic (CRO), Magdalena Wolowiec (POL) and Bruno Barracosa (POR) as the chair of the commission.
