EUSA Seminar for Technical delegates

The annual EUSA Convention, which will be held on November 14 and 15 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, was preceded by an internal seminar for EUSA Technical commission members, focused on the Technical delegates.

The event started on Friday, November 14 in the morning, with welcome speeches by Mr Adam Roczek, the President of EUSA and Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, its Secretary General who welcomed the participants in Ljubljana and thanked them for their involvement and constant contributions.

EUSA Sports Manager Mr Patrik Perosa then lead the seminar, presenting the Technical Commission, its composition, tasks and expectations. New Technical Delegates and representatives of the Medical Commission who were also present at the meeting were specifically introduced and welcomed.

The Technical Commission members were then presented with the official statistics from the past European Universities Games which were held this year in Rotterdam, having a chance to discuss and evaluate the focusing on the technical and sports aspects.

Next point on the agenda was the review of the next year’s European Universities Championships, and the preparations for the upcoming tasks, assistance and cooperation with the Organising Committees.

Discussions

The Seminar continued with the presentation of the European Universities Games Zagreb-Rijeka 2016 and the timeline in the preparations. Last points on the agenda was the cycle of the European Universities Championships 2017 and the European Universities Games 2018.

Technical Commission is the oldest Commissions in EUSA, and is key to the successful management of sports within the competition programme of the European University Sports Association (EUSA). The Seminar and the Convention are supported by the International University Sports Federation (FISU).
