EUSA President visits Ljubljana for important meetings

The President of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) Mr Adam Roczek together with EUSA Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik visited several key partners between October 23 and 25 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, home of the EUSA secretariat, as well as the EUSA Institute.

EUSA President and Secretary General first visited the Olympic Committee of Slovenia (OKS), where they met with its President Mr Bogdan Gabrovec. They discussed potential cooperation in existing and new projects, especially on the national level in Slovenia.

EUSA representatives also visited Mr Janez Kocijancic, the President of the European Olympic Committees (EOC), discussing the cooperation between EUSA and EOC, which is foreseen to be formalized in next months.

The Mayor of Ljubljana Mr Zoran Jankovic and the Vice-Mayor of Ljubljana Mr Dejan Crnek received Mr Roczek and Mr Pecovnik to discuss the projects and activities of EUSA and the EUSA Institute, with the special emphasis on events and activities to take place in Slovenia in the next years, especially the 20th anniversary of EUSA, which is to be celebrated in Ljubljana in 2019.

A meeting with the President of Slovenian University Sports Association (SUSA) Mr Patrik Perosa was also organised, discussing the organisation of the next European Universities Beach Volleyball and Water Polo Championships which will be held in Slovenia in 2019.

EUSA Rules and Regulations Commission meeting

At the occasion of the meetings, also the EUSA Rules and Regulations Commission met in Ljubljana, attended by Mr Roczek and Mr Pecovnik, as well as Mr Marko Zunic as the member of the commission, and Mr Besim Aliti, EUSA Sports Manager. The Commission discussed the EUG regulations, Minimum requirements for organisation of EUSA Events and Terms of Reference for EUSA Commissions.
