EUSA President at China-France University Sports Week

On June 30th 2016, the 3rd meeting of China-France High-Level People-to-People Exchange kicked off in Paris, co-chaired by Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong and French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault. Senior authorities in education, culture, health, science and technology, women, sports and youth sectors from both countries met on this occasion.

As one of the most important side events this time, the 2nd edition of China-France University Sports Week was successfully organized in Lille, with China-France University Football Friendship Game officially opened in Stadium Lille Metropole on July 1st.

The President of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) Mr Adam Roczek, attended the event and delivered the speech in which he expressed the great pleasure for attendance. He highlighted the significance of cooperation between the Federation of University Sport of China (FUSC) and the French University Sports Federation (FFSU) by not only strengthening the student sports collaboration in these two countries, but also setting a good example to the member associations in Europe through EUSA, in Asia through the Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF), as well as through the International University Sports Federation (FISU).

Signing of Memorandums of understanding

Afterwards, the signing ceremony between FUSC and FFSU on Memorandum of understanding of University Football Cooperation, and between FUSC, FFSU and CSC (China Scholarship Council) on Memorandum of Study programme of Chinese Football Coaches on Campus were conducted, during which Mr Yang Liguo, FUSC Secretary-general, Mr Jean Francois Sautereau, FFSU President and Mrs Liu Jinghui, CSC Secretary-general respectively signed the cooperation agreement, witnessed by EUSA President Mr Roczek and the President of Lille 2 University Mr Xavier Vandendrissche.

Football match

Mr Roczek, Mr Liguo, Mr Sautereau and Mrs Jinghui were also invited to kick off the 1st ball for the official match between Beijing Institute of Technology and Lille 2 University. Although the result in the final score was 3:1 for the home team, both teams are winners through this mutual cooperation.
