EUSA office welcomes back a new intern

The European University Sports Association (EUSA) and its Institute are pleased to announce that Kinga Gaal is returning to the team at the EUSA Office in Ljubljana, Slovenia, for the period from April to July. She will be joining as an intern as part of her studies internship.
In 2023, she participated in the European Solidarity Corps program, spending a year at the EUSA Office, where she gained valuable experience and, among other things, contributed to the EUSA team during the European Universities 3x3 Basketball Championship.
Her passion for sports and communications led her back to the European Universities Games (EUG) 2024, hosted in Debrecen and Miskolc. This time, she was part of the EUSA Communications and Media team in Debrecen, contributing to the success of the event.
Academically, Kinga’s journey has been just as exciting. She completed her Bachelor's degree in International Business at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and is now in the final stages of her Erasmus Mundus Master’s program in Governance, Administration, and Leisure of the Sport Industry. Thanks to this program, she has had the incredible opportunity to study in multiple countries—in Lille, France - at the University of Lille, in Vilnius, Lithuania - at the Mykolas Romeris University; and in Lisbon, Portugal - at the University of Lisbon. Currently, she is spending her last semester at EUSA, gaining hands-on experience in the sports industry while finishing her master’s thesis on fan engagement in the digital era in the basketball industry.
She has also taken part in multiple Erasmus+ projects thanks to EUSA, which have broadened her perspective on sports governance and administration. Before fully diving into the world of basketball, she was a professional powerlifter, competing at European and World Championships. However, her true passion has always been basketball, which is why she continues to expand her knowledge—such as by taking courses provided by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) in media operations.
With a wealth of experience in different aspects of sports management and communication, Kinga is eager to see what comes next as she continues to grow in the international sports industry with the help of EUSA.
EUSA is excited to welcome this talented individual back to our team for the next four months. Best of luck, Kinga!
