Especially the participation in two Universiades (Kazan 2013 and Gwangju 2015), the approval of membership in the International University Sports Federation (FISU), European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the installation of a sports programme at national universities have to be highly honoured.

Christian Schemeth, New LHSV PresidentMr Diehr, who has held the position of the President of LHSV for the past four year decided not to run for a second period after finishing his PhD degree and in order to look for new professional challenges. The assembly elected 22-year-old Mr Christian Schemeth, student at the University of Liechtenstein to act as his successor. Mrs Barbara Gant from the Private University in the Principality of Liechtenstein was elected as Vice-President. Verena Burtscher, Secretary General and the remaining former board were re-elected.

In a first statement, Mr Schemeth expressed his gratitude to his predecessor and the members of the board for their commitment to develop University Sports in Liechtenstein. He is looking forward to continuing the projects started and to adding new initiatives in cooperation with the board, FISU, EUSA, national sports federations and the member institutions of LHSV.
