EUSA meets the Prime Minister of Serbia

EUSA President Mr Adam Roczek and Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik met with Prime Minister of Serbia Ms Ana Brnabic and Minister for Youth and Sports Mr Vanja Udovicic on April 5, 2018 in Belgrade.

The main topic of the meeting was the preparation of the European Universities Games 2020, which will be organized in Serbia that July. The Prime Minister Ms Brnabic, who is also the President of the EUG 2020 Organizing Committee, confirmed their commitment and stressed that Serbia is ready to organize the best games ever.

The EUG 2020 report, presented during the EUSA Executive Committee in Paris last month, showed significant progress on the project since the last EUSA Supervision Commission Visit and EUSA representatives thanked the Ministry for Youth and Sports for their support in EUG activities taken during the last six months.

One of the topics discussed was also the activity plan for 2018, starting with EUG 2020 presentation during EUSA General Assembly, which will be held next week in Madrid.

Discussion on the European Universities Games Belgrade 2020

The participants also agreed that EUSA, the European University Sports Association, will be invited to participate at the first meeting of the Organising Committee to be held this month in Belgrade.
