EUSA meets Rugby Europe in Paris
EUSA staff travelled to the French capital city Paris on December 4 for a productive one-day meeting with partner organisation Rugby Europe.
Present on behalf of EUSA was Sports Manager Mr Besim Aliti and Assistant Sports Manager Mr Liam Smith, who met with Rugby Europe’s International Relations and Finance Manager Mr Maxime Cotis, Head of Competitions Mr Philippe Tuccelli as well as Chief Executive Officer Mr Florent Marty.
The meeting, which took place at Rugby Europe’s headquarters in Paris, involved discussions around the redefining of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations, and the potential inclusion of a referee clinic as well as additional support from Rugby Europe regarding sport equipment.
The future of rugby’s inclusion in EUSA Championships and Games was also discussed, as well as the prospects of working on European-wide projects on topics such as volunteering.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Rugby Europe agreed to further promote EUSA activities through their member federations and their events across the continent.
