EUSA meets IDO and NOC Slovenia
The representatives of European University Sports Association (EUSA) Mr Adam Roczek, President, Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, Secretary General and Mr Patrik Perosa, Sports Manager met with the International Dance Organisation (IDO) Presidency, led by President Mr Michael Wendt. The meeting, held in Portorose on January 28, 2015, was called to finalise the proposal for cooperation between EUSA and IDO. The agreement between EUSA and IDO is foreseen to be signed at the end of March, with first EUSA IDO dance events to be held already in 2015.
On the same day, Mr Roczek and Mr Pecovnik met also with the newly elected President of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia, Mr Bogdan Gabrovec. Mr Miroslav Cerar, President of the Slovenian Olympic Acsademy and Vice-President of European Fair Play Movement (EFPM) also participated in the meeting. The participants discussed the possibilities for mutual cooperation on the several projects, among them also the European Universities Basketball Championship which will be organised this June in Koper, Slovenia. Mr Gabrovec expressed his full support to further development of university sports.
