EUSA meetings in Ljubljana

EUSA President Mr Adam Roczek visited the EUSA Office in Ljubljana for a series of meetings between January 6 and 8, 2013. The visit started with the working meeting with Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, Secretary General. President and Secretary General discussed the recent EUSA activities and the items to be included on the Agenda of the upcoming Executive Committee.

 

Mr Patrik Perosa, Sports Manager and Mr Andrej Pisl, Communications Manager joined the discussions for some specific topics related to their fields of work.

During his stay, Mr Roczek also met with Mr Miro Cerar, Vice-President of the European Fair Play Movement (EFPM). After the general introductions of both organisations, possibilities of cooperation between the two organisations in the field of fair play were discussed. Mr Roczek also presented Mr Cerar the details on the EUSA Enno Harms Fair Play Award that is annually awarded to the outstanding gestures of Fair Play of universities and students participating in EUSA Sport Events.

Mr Roczek concluded the visit with the meeting with Mr Janez Kocijancic, Executive Committee member of the European Olympic Committee (EOC) and President of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia. Together with Mr Pecovnik, they discussed the common values of both European umbrella organisations and explored some ideas where EOC and EUSA could cooperate in the future.

 

Outcomes of the meetings will be presented in more details also at the upcoming EUSA Executive Committee meeting, which will be held in Zagreb, Croatia on January 25-26, 2013.
