EUSA Magazine 2013 Published
European University Sports Association (EUSA) has published the annual edition of its magazine - the European University Sports Association Year Magazine 2013.
In the magazine, published with the extended contents and layout, also reflecting the new visual identity of the organisation, you will be able to find the introduction by the EUSA President, current information on the structure of EUSA, including its member associations, Executive Committee, the Commissions and the Secretariat.
The focus of the 2013 EUSA Magazine has been given to the European Universities Championships which were held in the last year. Besides the general overview, showing that new records have been set in terms of participation and events organisation, each of the events is introduced, together with the final standings.
The magazine also reports on the events organised under EUSA Patronage, with special focus also given to EUSA Conferences and Projects, including the EUSA Conference, General Assembly and Gala, EUSA Convention among the first and the projects of EUSA - Volunteer Program, Student Commission initiatives and Awards among the latter. Attribution of the European Universities Games 2016 is described and EUSA Club of Donors introduced in this section as well.
A special focus is given on EU Initiatives, including reports from the EU Sports Forum, European Week of Sport (EWOS) Seminar, projects Anti-Doping Ambassadors (EADA), Prevention of Sexualised Violence in Sports, European Voluntary Service (EVS) and a short introduction of the new Erasmus+ programme.
Highlights of EUSA partners are introduces, starting with our members (focusing on special anniversaries and galas and member's assemblies and updates), followed by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and continental university sports organisations - Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF), Federation of African University Sports (FASU), Pan-American University Sport Federation (ODUPA), Oceania University Sports Association (OUSA). We also value the cooperation and alliances with other organisations, including the European Fair Play Movement (EFPM), European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation (ENGSO), European Handball Federation (EHF) and other European sports and other federations where agreements are still finalised.
The content of the magazine concludes with the glimpse to the future. The European Universities Games 2014 in Rotterdam are introduced, presenting the largest European university sports event in Europe. The event will feature 10 sports and also educational side-events, cultural program and will offer plenty of opportunities for socialising, networking and having fun. EUSA events calendar for 2014 and European Universities Championships 2015 conclude the EUSA yearly magazine publication.
