EUSA holds EUG2022 Supervision Commission meeting
A EUSA Supervision Commission meeting involving the organisers of the sixth European Universities Games in Lodz, Poland was held virtually on Thursday, December 10, as preparations for EUG2022 continue in full swing.
Representatives from both EUSA and the EUG2022 Organising Committee were given the chance to discuss various aspects of the event, which is set to take place in the summer of 2022.
Present on behalf of EUSA was EUSA President Mr Adam Roczek; EUSA Vice-President and Supervision Commission Chair Mr Haris Pavletic; EUSA Secretary General and Supervision Commission Member Mr Matjaz Pecovnik; EUSA Executive Committee and Supervision Commission Members Mr Dmitry Kiselev and Mr Bruno Barracosa, as well as EUSA Sports Manager and Supervision Commission Member Mr Besim Aliti.
Present on behalf of the EUG2020 Organising Committee was TUL Rector Mr Krzysztof Jozwik; TUL AZS Sport Club Vice-Chair Ms Ewa Brochocka; City of Lodz Representative Mr Maciej Adamczyk and EUG 2022 Coordinator Ms Tatsiana Andrushka.
Following an introduction to members of both organisations, the Lodz Organising Committee delivered a general report, updating all present on the progress made across several organisational aspects.
A financial report was then given, following which an open discussion was facilitated before the close of the meeting.
Set to be the biggest university sport event organised in Poland since the Winter Universiade in 2001, organisers are confident that EUG2022 will be a most memorable event, with the groundwork already being laid to ensure the event’s success.
