EUSA Gender Equality Survey 2016 launched

EUSA Gender Equality Survey 2016 launched

Equal Opportunities Commission in EUSA launched the second edition of the Gender Equality Survey. The aim of the survey is to gather data on different aspects of university sport, with a special emphasis given to gender equality at university sport level across Europe.

The results will enable and improve implementation of the gender equity and equality principles and practice, help us identify good practice also using the outcomes to prepare guidelines and recommendations.

Improving gender equality in EUSA

We will compare and analyse the presence and participation of women in the national and international university sports structures in Europe by noting the numbers of participants in European Universities Championships and Games on one hand and comparing the results of two surveys - first one was conducted in 2011 and the one in 2016.

Win-Win situation!

The obtained data will give us better grounds for tackling and estimating the reality of university sports, not only in quantitative terms, but also and essentially from the perspective of the quality and variety of programmes related to diversity and gender equality. Surveys have been sent to all 45 EUSA member federations.
