EUSA Games: Welcoming the NUSA and volunteers

Things are getting more and more exciting at the 1st European Universities Games in Cordoba, Spain in the expectation of the first matches – which start already tomorrow, July 12 – the opening ceremony (on July 14), arrival of new teams and other events related to the Games.
 

Today the President of the European University Sports Association Mr Adam Roczek visited the main village and welcomed the international volunteers who were selected to take part in this important EUSA event. He stressed that volunteers are integral part of the success of the events and thanked them for their efforts. 36 international volunteers came to Cordoba from 14 countries from different parts in Europe.

EUSA staff members also visited some of representatives of the national university sports associations which set up their offices in Cordoba to assist their university teams during the EUSA Games.

The media teams also started picking up the story of foreign students visiting the city, writing stories, articles also coming to the campus and making interviews. Tomorrow, the official press conference will be organised.

As mentioned, badminton competitions start tomorrow, so today the General Technical Meeting for badminton was held, at which the representatives from 20 teams participating in the badminton championship were briefed about the details of the competition, and the official draw was made.
