The EUSA office in Ljubljana was visited by the Sports Manager of the 2nd European Universities Games Mr Jack Jacobs on June 27 and 28. Together with EUSA Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, Sports Manager Mr Patrik Perosa and Communications Manager Mr Andrej Pisl they had a 2-day working meeting.

The main topic of discussion was the EUSA Games 2014. The 2nd edition of the European Universities Games will be held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands between July 24 and August 8, 2014. The participants focused mainly on the sports which will be featured at the event and the dates, competition program, as well as the entry procedure and technical regulations. Before the Games, a Convention for the organisers will be organised in Rotterdam, as well as the Supervision visit and EUSA Executive Committee meeting.

Since Rotterdam is also hosting the 1st European Universities Basketball 3x3 Championship, this event was also discussed in more details. As this is the premier edition of this sport in the EUSA programme, it was decided to give 2 additional weeks to allow for new teams to register and registered teams to finalise registration.

Outcomes of the discussion will be communicated to the EUSA Executive Committee and the Foundation 2nd European Universities Games Rotterdam 2014. For more information about the Games, please see www.eugames2014.eu.
