The Organizing Committee of the European Universities Football Championship 2017 welcomed on November 30 and December 1 the EUSA Technical Delegate for Football Mr Andreas Demetriou for an inspection visit.

This visit outlined the technical details of the European Universities Football Championship, in order to ensure that this championship meets all the necessary requirements to receive the hundreds of participants from universities across Europe.



Mr Demetriou was received by the Organising Committee, lead by Mr Daniel Vieira President of OC, Mr Bruno Almeida from the University of Porto and Mr Daniel Freitas from the Academic Association of Porto, heads of municipal companies in Porto and a representative of the City Council of Gaia. During the visit, several sports facilities in Porto were visited, which will be used for the competitions and trainings. Also the accommodation and catering venues were inspected. Sports facilities of the city of Gaia were also inspected during the visit. The visit concluded with the technical meeting at the Academic Association of Porto (FAP) building.



The 2017 European Universities Football Championship will take place between July 23 and 30 in Porto, Portugal. Registration will open this December.
