EUSA Executive Committee meeting
The Executive Committee met on its first meeting, which was organised in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, on February 3, 2006. The members of the board were welcomed by the representatives of the Technical University of Eindhoven (TUe), which will host the European University Championships in Football, Tennis and Volleyball in July and is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
Following a renewed spirit of collaboration between EUSA and National University Sports Associations, the Executive Committee decided to invite to each meeting two Presidents of the associated member federations. This time, Mr. Angel Ivanov, the President of the Bulgarian University Sports Association and Mr. Ceslovas Garbaliauskas, the President of the Lithuanian Students Sports Association, were present on the meeting.

EUSA EVENTS 2007 attributed
The Executive Committee decided to attribute the organisation of the following EUSA Events for 2007:
European Universities Championships 2007:
  •  Volleyball: Rijeka / CRO  
  •  Basketball: Geneve / SUI
  •  Rowing: Girona / ESP
  •  Futsal: Koper / SLO
  •  Football: Rome / ITA
  •  Beach Volleyball: Protaras / CYP
  •  Handball: Lodz / POL    
  •  Badminton: St. Petersburg / RUS  
  •  Karate: Podgorica / SCG
  •  Tennis: Moscow / RUS
EUSA Symposium 2007: Moscow / RUS
General Assembly 2007: Belgrade / SCG

TABLE TENNIS NEW SPORT OF THE EUC PROGRAMME
The Executive Committee decided to put Table Tennis on the EUC 2007 programme. The member federations are asked to send the candidatures for the organisation to the EUSA office by April 30, 2006.

EUC TITLE TO BE EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES CHAMPIONSHIPS
The title of the championships will from 2007 on be European Universities Championships.

4 NEW STUDENT COMMISSION MEMBERS NOMINATED
EUSA received 8 candidatures for the membership in the Student Commission.The following candidates were nominated for the next two year period:
  •  Zoltan Rakaczki (HUN),
  •  Elena Starkova (RUS),
  •  Thomas Gualtieri (ITA) and
  •  Florence Beuchamps (FRA).

TECHNICAL COMMISSION CHAIR TO BE NOMINATED
EUSA decided to create the position of the Chairman of the Technical Commission. All the members are asked to send the candidatures for the post until April 30, 2006.
Alison Odell was nominated as the new Technical Delegate for Badminton.
