EUSA-EUG2024 meeting in Budapest
Representatives of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and those from the Organising Committee of the European Universities Games Debrecen-Miskolc 2024 (EUG2024) met in the Hungarian capital Budapest on June 21.
On behalf of EUSA, the meeting was attended by 1st Vice-President Mr Haris Pavletić and Secretary General Mr Matjaž Pečovnik, and on behalf of the EUG2024, the team was composed of representatives of the Hungarian University Sport Federation (HUSF/MEFS): Secretary General Mr Péter Juhász, Deputy Secretary General Mr György Kovács and Director of International Relations Ms Ágnes Ančić-Valkai. Debrecen was represented by Ms Katalin Varga, Physical education coordinator at the University of Debrecen and Mr Tibor Pöszmet, Head of Sports Office at the University of Debrecen, and the Miskolc team by Mr Zoltán Rakaczki, MEFS International Committee President and Member of the Board, Ms Réka Molnár, Head of Sports Office at the University of Miskolc and Ms Éva Antal – Miskolc, Sport Organizer at the University Sports Club of Miskolc.
The participants discussed the sports programme and defined the official dates of the event. The European Universities Games will be held in the Hungarian cities of Debrecen and Miskolc between July 12 and 24, 2024.
Information on the progress in organisation, presentation of OC structure, promotion plans and observer programme during the European Universities Games in Lodz have also been discussed. EUG2024 team will also be present at the EUSA Convention and EUSA-FISU Seminar in September, while EUSA Supervision Commission will visit Debrecen and Miskolc in November this year.
