EUSA-EUG2021 March operational meetings
The European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the local organising committee of the European Universities Games Belgrade 2021 (EUG2021) held a series of online operational meetings on March 17 and 18, 2021, in preparation for this summer's event.
The meetings started with an overview of the general situation, gathering feedback after the presentation of the COVID-19 Protocol which was presented earlier this month to the EUSA members.
The meetings otherwise focused on three main topics: Registrations and Accreditations; Result Management and Live Streaming, and the NUSA Coordination Meeting.
Following the General Entry deadline on March 15, the registrations have been analysed and we are happy to report that there is a sound interest for the event. Based on the current entries, we look forward to having competitions in 21 sports on the programme.
The EUG2021 will have good media coverage and livestreaming, as well as implemented results management system supporting the event. The plan and upcoming trainings to ensure optimal performance during the Games have been devised.
A focal point was also discussion and preparations for the NUSA coordination meeting, planned to be held on May 26-29 in Belgrade.
EUSA and the EUG2021 team are working hard to provide an event which will be held in a safe way, offering the student athletes to compete and enjoy the unique sporting experience.
